Small Gift Bag and Card

Let it Snow Designer Series Paper

I thought these cute little Gift bags and cards to match were an awesome way to show off our new Designer Series Papers. coming soon.  The 2019 Holiday Catalog will be available to order from September 4, 2019.
These are not my original idea although I've made the small gift bags like this many times over but I loved the small 3" X 3" card idea with the gift bag using the pieces cut out. I was inspired by a fellow demonstrator (Thank you Debbie) who made these a few years back and thought I could use our new DSP.
You can use any double sided paper year round, for any occasion. Simply switch the Paper and Stamp Set to any you want to use...Perfect to put a small gift in or a gift card.

Measurements and Supplies.
Merry Christmas to All Stamp Set
2 each - 6" X  6" Let it Snow Designer Series Paper
3" X 6" Whisper White Cardstock
3" X  3" Envelope
1-3/8" X  2-3/4" Any Cardstock
3/4" X  3" Whisper White Cardstock
Real Red Classic Ink Pad
Trimmer
Scissors
1/8" Hole Punch
18" Real Red 1/8" Ribbon
Stampin Dimensionals
Liquid Glue
Snail Permanent Adhesive

Small Gift Bag:
1.  Score both 6" DSP at 3/4" (This will be your top, then score at 1-1/2" on the other 3 sides.
2. Fold and burnish all folds, fold the top opposite the other 3 sides and stick down with snail adhesive..
3. Take your first 6" piece of DSP and cut off both corners on the bottom left and right. Save these little squares for your card.
4. Take your second 6" Piece of DSP and cut in on the score line 1-1/2" on the left and on the right (Nothing is cut off here), we are creating flaps on the bag.
5. Take your first piece DSP and glue cardstock on the bottom to reinforce bottom  of bag.
6. Glue the center of second 6" DSP on top of cardstock piece.
7. Fold corner flaps in and add glue and bring one side of bag up hold until bonded. Fold other two sides in and add glue and adhere to inside of bag.
8. Use a 1/8" hole punch and punch 2 holes evenly on both sides of top of bag.
9. Cut ribbon in half. Use one for each handle. Poke through and tie knots.
Card:
1. Fold in  half and burnish 3" X  6" Whisper White Cardstock.
2. Take both squares cut from bag and put glue on opposite sides of both (you will have 2 designs to match the bag and the top of bag. Adhere to top left and lower right of card.
3.Stamp swirl using Real Red ink in upper right and lower left of card.
4. Stamp sentiment on 3/4"  Whisper White Cardstock. Trim down as close to sentiment as you can and make banner tails on both ends. Add dimensionals and place in center of card.
5. Stamp Swirl in Real Red Ink in envelop Flap.

Do you love cards? I know I do so I made a few alternative projects ... I love the cute little gift bags but I really don't hand out gifts with Fall/Thanksgiving themes. But guess what? DIY Seaside Notions Set of 4 Tile Coasters

Set of 4 Seaside Notions Tile Coasters

On Saturday I held a girls night out event at my house and we made gorgeous sets of coasters that you could keep for yourself or give away as an incredibly beautiful and thoughtful gift to someone special.  

I purchased the Chiaro 4" X 4" Tumbled Travertine Tile at Home Depot, they come in a sealed package of 9 - 4" square tiles.You need to wash the powder residue off and let dry then pick the smoothest 4 or 6 tiles to stamp on. You will also need some padding for the bottom of your coasters to protect your tables/desks etc...my own I used kiddie foam I cut to fit the bottom but for the class I purchased packs of different sized furniture padded felt circles with peel and stick on the bottom, they worked great.

Measurements and Supplies:

4 Tiles

4 Felt Circle Pads

Seaside Notions Stamp Set

Black Stazon Ink Pad

Stampin Write Neutral Markers

Scalloped Tag Topper

2" X 3" Soft Suede Cardstock

1-3/4" X 3" Very Vanilla Cardstock

Stazon Cleaner 

Jute twine

You can use any stamp set you like of course that will fit on your tile nicely. Practice on a scrap piece of paper for placement of images before you use on the tiles.

Pre Heat Oven to 250 Degrees

Stamp in stazon on tiles. 

Bake in a pre - heated oven for 20-25 minutes.

Remove and let cool.

Color with markers if desired

Put back into pre-heated oven for another 20-25 minutes.
While waiting for tiles to cool, decorate tag (make a matching card if you like if giving as a gift-in the blog search type in seaside notions for card ideas too))

Use punch for top of tag.
Tie twine around  your 4 pack of stacked tiles add tag and tie a bow.
There, now you have made an easy handmade set of tile coasters to compliment your decor or to gift to someone. Hope you enjoy. 1. Die cut Garden Green Cardstock and Kiddie Fun Foam with the largest die and the next one down in the package (see video).
2. Die cut Very Vanilla (Front) and DSP with largest nesting label die.
3. Stamp Rabbit in center of card base using Gray Granite ink.
4. Stamp Trees and grass sprigs around rabbit on Card Base in Garden Green ink ,
5. Stamp HELLO sentiment on small Very Vanilla banner, Curve as shown in video)
Assemble Card...
Adhere Garden Green Frame in center of card base.
Glue Very Vanilla and DSP pieces with nesting Label cut out together. then add dimensionals or kiddie fun foam to back of that and glue to card base. Adhere curved banner Hello to bottom center of card
