Dahlia Days - Set of 4 all Occasion Cards

Make a quick and easy set of  4 All Occasion Cards using the Dahlia Days Bundle.

I chose bright and cheery colors from our BRIGHTS color family. There is plenty of room to add your sentiments later as you need a specific card.

What you need: Set of 4

3 pieces 8/1/2" X 11" Basic White Cardstock

8/1/2" X 11" Basic Black Cardstock

4 Med White Envelopes

Dahlia Days Bundle (Stamp Set & Dies)

Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, Poppy Parade, and Mango Melody Ink Pads

4 each  - 2 1/2" Frayed Ribbon

4 each - 5" Twine

Stampin Seal, Glue dots adhesive of choice.

Stamping Trimmer

Pencil/ruler

Instructions;

Using one of your white cardstock sheets, draw a center line at 4 1/4" and turn and draw at 5 1/2" (to guide you when you stamp). Stamp your images using inks of your choice, along the center lines.

Trim on both sides of the lines so you have no more pencil lines. Trim each piece to 3 3/4" X 5". Stamp sentiment on one or all 4 if you like

Cut black cardstock to 4" X 5 1/4"

Adhere 4 black and 4 stamped pieces.

Using the remaining 2 sheets of white cardstock cut in half so you have 4 each 8 1/2" X  5 1/2" Card Bases. Score at 4 1/4", fold and burnish.

Adhere your stamped on black layer to card bases.

Stamp sentiment inside and small flower on lower right. Decorate your 4 envelope flaps.

Fray and tie twine around middle of strands. Adhere below sentiment on front of card

Subtle Elegant Laser Cut Card

Today's card is a pretty, soft and feminine card to make for someone special and can be made to fit any occasion. I cased it from our Annual Catalog on page 91 but just tweaked it a bit to make it my own.
In the video you can also see the baby wipe technique which gave us the lovely subtle backgrounds I used for the stitched circle and nested label die cuts.
The card in the video will be going to my friend who just got home after a very long five and a half weeks between hospital and rehab. She has still got a long road to recovery.
I also made this special card with highland heather cardstock behind the laser cut design the photo is below. That too was very pretty and soft. I sent it to my sister who just got out of the hospital after having a mastectomy but i used the sentiments from the Healing Hugs Stamp Set, "Wishing you a quick and speedy recovery". I wrote a special message inside letting her know how proud i am of her decision and of how brave she has been throughout her breast cancer diagnosis. So, the reason I am writing this to to urge every woman out there to get checked out..don't neglect getting your mammogram when recommended. There has never been any breast cancer  in our family before this, so don't put it off thinking nah, i don't need to worry about breast cancer my family history only shows heart issues.... My sister is 71 ...Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers during her recovery from surgery.
SO, yes.... crafting and making cards is MY CREATIVE THERAPY and I've needed lots of it lately!
