Country Home Thanksgiving

I made 2 sets of 6 cards for an upcoming craft fair.  I used Stampin' Up!s Country Home stamp set and guess what works for real looking cotton....

Snowfall Accents Puff Paint! I think it looks so real! Last year I shredded Q-Tips and glued them but they didn't look as nice. Thank you for watching. Paper Pumpkin Gift of Fall - Add On Bundle

As promised ...I said once I received my Gift of Fall Add On Bundle I would make another Paper Pumpkin Alternative Video, so here ya go. I received  my Stampin' Up! order in the mail today :). I LOVE LOVE LOVE these cards.You get 24 cards and envelopes for $10.00, that's like .42 cents per card! 
This is the first time Stampin' Up! has offered an "add on" to go with a Paper Pumpkin Kit and I hope they have more in the months to come. Oh, and you can only order these exclusive cards and envelopes if you are a subscriber to Paper Pumpkin.
If you are not a subscriber you should be! It's like getting a surprise present for yourself in the mail every month just for you. Each month is different. You can subscribe monthly, every 3 months, 6 months or yearly. You can cancel at any time. You can even put your subscription on hold if you need to for however long.The kits are all inclusive and make all the projects designed for that month and there are always leftover embellishments, glue dots, dimensionals etc you can use in other projects. Do you love cards? I know I do so I made a few alternative projects ... I love the cute little gift bags but I really don't hand out gifts with Fall/Thanksgiving themes. But guess what? 1 leaf banner cut in half length wise, 1 Merry Merlot Circle, 5 Gold Sequins, Stampin Dimensionals, 1 smallest crumb cake sentiment pieces. (Punch leaves and sprigs from scraps of the crushed curry wreath embellishments, Merry Merlot Circle Embellishments and Pretty Peacock Leaves.

4" X 5-1/4" Basic Black Cardstock
4-1/2" X  6" Watercolor Paper (will be cut down after water coloring to 3-3/4" X 5")

DIY Seaside Notions Set of 4 Tile Coasters

Set of 4 Seaside Notions Tile Coasters

On Saturday I held a girls night out event at my house and we made gorgeous sets of coasters that you could keep for yourself or give away as an incredibly beautiful and thoughtful gift to someone special.  

I purchased the Chiaro 4" X 4" Tumbled Travertine Tile at Home Depot, they come in a sealed package of 9 - 4" square tiles.You need to wash the powder residue off and let dry then pick the smoothest 4 or 6 tiles to stamp on. You will also need some padding for the bottom of your coasters to protect your tables/desks etc...my own I used kiddie foam I cut to fit the bottom but for the class I purchased packs of different sized furniture padded felt circles with peel and stick on the bottom, they worked great.

Measurements and Supplies:

4 Tiles

4 Felt Circle Pads

Seaside Notions Stamp Set

Black Stazon Ink Pad

Stampin Write Neutral Markers

Scalloped Tag Topper

2" X 3" Soft Suede Cardstock

1-3/4" X 3" Very Vanilla Cardstock

Stazon Cleaner 

Jute twine

You can use any stamp set you like of course that will fit on your tile nicely. Practice on a scrap piece of paper for placement of images before you use on the tiles.

Pre Heat Oven to 250 Degrees

Stamp in stazon on tiles. 

Bake in a pre - heated oven for 20-25 minutes.

Remove and let cool.

Color with markers if desired

Put back into pre-heated oven for another 20-25 minutes.
While waiting for tiles to cool, decorate tag (make a matching card if you like if giving as a gift-in the blog search type in seaside notions for card ideas too))

Use punch for top of tag.
Tie twine around  your 4 pack of stacked tiles add tag and tie a bow.
There, now you have made an easy handmade set of tile coasters to compliment your decor or to gift to someone. Hope you enjoy.
