World's Greatest Candy Explosion Box - August 2020, Paper Pumpkin Alternative

World's Greatest Explosion Box 


I have loved making these simple explosion boxes Adding candy just makes it quick and easy too. I used some products from this months Paper Pumpkin Kit August 2020. I've given these out to lots of people and even had my grandchildren make them with me too for a fun memorable activity...of course they love the candy treats too.

Measurements and Supplies:

From Worlds Greatest  Paper Pumpkin Kit you will need the following. 
All 3 Pacific Point Card Bases, 1 White Card Base, Stamp Set, 4 Gold Foil Banners, 1 Scalloped Gold Foil Medallion, 4 small white circles, 1 large White Rectangle(Pacific Point Ink Spot, dimensionals and glue dots if you wish to use them from kit)

12" X  12" Seaside Spray Cardstock (or choose your favorite)
9" X  9" Seaside Spray Cardstock (I used white from DSP pack)
6" X  6" Seaside Spray Cardstock
4" X  5" Pacific Point Cardstock
1-1/2" X 8-1/2" Seaside Spray
Small Circle punch I used both a 1 3/8" and 1" punch (retired)
1 Tiny Treat Box
Old world Map 3 D Embossing Folder
Trimmer
Stampin Seal. 
Liquid Glue
Candy

Directions: Large bottom box
Score 12" X 12" Cardstock at 4" on all 4 sides, cut of all 4 corners so you are left with a + (plus)
Stamp ribbon image, on all 4 sides of largest plus
Punch 4 circles no larger than 1-1/2" in Pacific Point
Stamp sentiments on 4 small white circles from kit 
Cut gold banners in half and cut a banner cut on the ones that have straight ends.
Add stamped circles to blue circles and add gold banners behind and adhere with dimensionals on the stamped rosettes.
Using White card base first cut a 3-3/4" X 3-3/4" piece then Stamp medal and sentiments and punch out with 1" circle punch, or use trimmer. Adhere all these to your candy.
Inside :adhere candy on each of the 4 sides.
Directions for 9" layer box
Score 9" X  9" Cardstock at 3" on all 4 sides, cut off all 4 corners
Cut the 2 Pacific blue pattern card bases length wise at 3"
Cut 4 -  3" X 3" Pacific blue pattern pieces and cut one strip at 1-1/4" X 8-1/2(for tiny treat box)
Cut 4 - 3/4" X 3-7/8 pacific blue pattern (for sides of lid)
Cut out 4 small 1/4" X 1-3/4" pacific blue pattern ( for top of lid)

Inside : Adhere candy.
Using liquid Glue stick to larger plus in center
Tiny treat box:  
Fill with candy and wrap with Seaside Spray cardstock then with patterned blue card base piece.
Lid:
Score 6" Square at 1" on all 4 sides, cut up corners to score lines, miter all tabs, glue on small patterned pieces on sides. Emboss 3-3/4 white square and glue to center of lid, Cut out medal and add medallion and sentiment add with dimensionals to top of box, add 1/4" pieces to all 4 corners and trim, Adhere lid tabs.

How sweet was this months Paper Pumpkin Kit? I just loved it especially the little bunny in the FREE stamp set we received this month because Paper Pumpkin was celebrating it's anniversary. Such adorable stamps and embellishments. Hope you enjoy my alternate card plus all the additional techniques and tips shared... Attention to detail does make a difference.

Supplies Needed from March 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit
Card with cloudy sky and grass, 1 envelope with yellow lining, Basic Gray Stampin' Spot, both stamp sets, twine, heart, dimensionals
Stamp Set:
 March 2020 Paper Pumpkin Stamps
Cardstock:
5-1/2" X 8-1/2" Basic Gray, score at 4-1/4. Fold and Burnish
3-11/16" X 4-15/16"So Saffron
Card from kit (cut in half then cut both pieces) 3-7/16" X 4-11/16 ,Adhere white inside card.
Envelope from kit (open up and then punch 1 umbrella and 1 handle from yellow stripe and 2 umbrella and 2 handle from white .
2-3/4" X 3/4" White (from Envelope for sentiment)
2" X 3" White (from Envelope for 2 bunnies)
Ink:
Basic gray, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron Inkpads. Light Pool Party, Light Petal Pink, Dark So Saffron Stampin' Blends
Tools:
Trimmer, scissors, 1/2" Circle Punch, Umbrella Builder Punch, silicone craft sheet, Blocks
Accessories:
Twine from kit- enough to wrap around card front 3 times and tie a bow
Adhesive:
Dimensionals (regular and mini) liquid glue, snail adhesive.

February 2020 Paper Pumpkin Lovely Day Alternatives


Feminine Birthday Card Alternative  #1
 This months Paper Pumpkin Kit made 9 beautiful full size cards when you use the kit the way it was intended. In the video I made a pretty feminine alternate card and I did show the other 3 samples of alternatives also. Check out the photos below. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Measurements and Supplies

From your February Paper Pumpkin Kit - Lovely Day you will need the following.
Stamp Set
Rococo Rose Stampin' Spot
Rich Razzleberry Card Base
One pink Envelope 
Sequins
Dimensionals
Glue Dots

All Measurements and Supplies Together Stamp Set (from Kit)
Happy Birthday to You Stamp Set
Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder
8-1/2"  X  5-1/2" Rococo Rose Card Stock 
          (Scored and burnshed at 4-1/4")
4" X  4" Rococo Rose Card Stock
4" X  5-1/4" Rich Razleberry Card (From Kit) 
3-3/4" X  5" Pink envelope Front
1/2 of back of pink envelope
Rococo Rose Stampin' Blends Combo Pack
Memento Black Ink Pad
Rococo Rose Stampin Spot (From Kit)
32" Natures Twine - (Blackberry Bliss) Cut some and tie small bow, use the remainder to wrap 3 times around pink front)
Adhesive of choice
Stampin' Dimensionals (From Kit)
Glue Dots (From Kit)
Sequins

Instructions...
1.  Fold and Burnish Card Base
2.  Cut center out of Rich Razzleberry Card (leaving you a frame  about 1/2")
3.  Slice the right edge and bottom off the pink envelope, open and  cut front of envelope to 3-3/4" X  5"
4.  Using the back of envelope piece stamp "HAVE A", "lovely", "BIRTHDAY" in Rococo Rose Ink, and cut out.
5. Take the rectangle shape you cut from the Rich Razzleberry  Card in step 2 and adhere words with enough space between them so you can cut out leaving a small border around the words.
6. Stamp cake image on 4" square Rococo Rose Card Stock using  Memento Black Inkpad.
7. Color flowers on cake and fussy cut (or use the dies that are now available in the coordinating product release February 4th).
8.  Emboss pink envelope front you cut to 3-3/4" X 5" with  Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder (Emboss the flap of a regular envelope for decoration if you like)
9. Wrap twine 3 times around embossed pink. tape down
10. Assemble card... Adhere Rich Razzleberry Frame to Card,  Adhere Embossed pink to that, Add dimensionals to sentiments  and adhere over twine, add bow with glue dots., add dimensionals to cake cut out and adhere to right side of card.
11. Embellish with a few sequins from kit.
12. Stamp sentiment inside card and small flowers in lower right
